AT & T recently announced AT & T Toggle, a service that lets you make two separate as well as discrete identities on your tablet or smartphone. The first would be a private account where you can freely text your friends, watch videos and surf the Internet. A second safer identity which would be the house of your documents and business applications can be control by the IT department of your company. AT & T is using an application known as Divide, which was produced by start-up Enterproid.
The service will help aid the tendency of individuals to bring their individual devices for use at job, which is started with the i-Phone a few years ago and has extend to other tablets and smartphones. The statement comes ahead of the CTIA Enterprise and Applications, which starts soon in San Diego.
"While it comes to connected gadgets, one size does not fit to each one," said by vice president of advanced mobility services on AT & T's business services organization, Chris Hill. "People want to use their smartphones and tablets for the work itself, but that practice can create big headaches for corporate IT departments."
People like it because we are no longer limited to the few options that give businesses on smartphones. Companies like it because they no longer have to bear the financial burden of equipping employees with mobile devices.
AT & T expects Toggle will boost this development. The service will be accessible by the end of the year on headsets which run on Android 2.2, which is also recognized as Froyo. AT & T said it plans to expand access to other mobile operating systems next year. Additionally, the service can run on phones that run on any company.
